Don worked on boat projects all morning...and I cleaned and looked at the charts and cruising books to see where we would be going in the next few weeks and how we would get there! We went to dinner at the Commonwealth Yacht Club, next to the marina, with KC and Scott from Jet Stream. Then six of us took the courtesy car to the town of Grand Rivers, one mile away, to see The Super 60's Show at the Badgett Playhouse. It was wonderfully entertaining, and the music was a real trip down memory lane!
Fall is in the air. By the time we reach the Tennessee River in another week, we should be seeing more fall colours.
The turtles and fish are happy to see our crackers. Kate was fascinated by them, a real highlight in her otherwise boring day.
I read that the turtles are red-eared sliders, an invasive species.
Before the show, we enjoyed the lovely gardens around Patti's Settlement Restaurant.
Tomorrow we will "fly away" from here and head up the Cumberland River towards Nashville.
I think you should have the picture of the two of you on the butterfly bench made into a 5 x 7 and framed. Love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS, Joan. My new haircut is short...but I like it!
ReplyDeleteYou must be busy packing...but you must have it down to a science after all your river trips!!! Will Noreen be e-mailing about your trip? Be sure we are included....
Love, Bernie
