Rainy day in Sister Bay

It rained most of Sunday...which was very badly needed. I got the laundry done...such a good feeling and love those fresh smelling sheets! This marina only has one washer and dryer...but they worked great and the price was the lowest we have ever seen....$.75 and $.50! I also cleaned the spiders and spider dirt off the flybridge exterior. At least there are no black widows like we found in Beaufort, NC, after we stored our boat for the summer!

After the rain we took a walk around town again, bought ice cream, and tried to find the dog park. All the people we asked were tourists, like us, and couldn't help. But Kate enjoyed her walk and the bottom of the ice cream cones.

Hard not to notice the Scandinavian flavor and history of Sister Bay, on the Door Peninsula, WI
We had a lovely sunset and enjoyed watching Sunday Night Football!

Today, Monday, we hope to anchor in Nicolet Bay about 5 miles away and visit Peninsula State Park. Then we will work our way down the Green Bay coast to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor during the week. We have marina reservations in Chicago from Sept. 5-10 so have plenty of time, as long as no major weather events occur on Lake Michigan. We are glad you are following us....

  1. It's raining in Ocala and most of Fl for that matter. My niece got a court order to have Mike evicted from the house. Ron called me last night and it is quite a story. Hopefully she won't be on to # 5 so quickly. Will tell you more when we talk.
