Miscellaneous....

We have added new pillows, pleated shades, and more colour to our boat's salon.

Our five hour trip on Thurs. from Beaufort to Charleston was uneventful, except for the fact that Don had to be both Captain and Crew!

On  Wed. afternoon in Beaufort  I hadn't realized my foot was asleep, and when I started to walk, my leg seemed to turn 90 degrees to my ankle. I immediately felt faint…so light-headed….called Don, who was lying down resting his back. Since the powdered donuts were within reach, I started eating one while waiting for help to arrive!!!!

I thought it was broken and was all set to use Medicare for the first time…but Coach Don said it seemed like a bad sprain. He borrowed the Beaufort marina car and went to buy a tensor bandage to wrap me up! I stayed on the boat for almost 48 hours, foot elevated, and ventured off today, Friday, to go to a grocery store in Charleston. I can't walk normally, but I gimped along without too much pain. At least it happened AFTER my sight-seeing in Beaufort!

Hopefully tomorrow I will venture out and take some photos of Charleston.  For now, I thought I would post some recent, miscellaneous photos.

Exhausted crew!

  1. Hopefully this will come through. I am not sure what to click on to send you messages on the Blog. love hearing about your adventures etc. ans seeing the pics. I think the other thing I sent went to you email, but not sure. The zip line was magnificent. Not only was the zipping great, but the scenery was terrific. It was just Donna and I and the 2 guides. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Had a great time with Janet and Bob. We went to a place called TwoTails. An elephant refuge center and then walked several miles at Paynes Praire which we very much. enjoyed. Hope your foot is doing better and you are able to get around better real soon. Once again, love reading the Blog. Love, Joan
