We are Don and Bernie Burton from Tobermory, Ontario, aboard our PDQ 34 Powercat, Snow Cat. This blog is a photo-journal of our trip around the Great Loop. Back in Sept. 2010 we started from Tellico Marina on the Little Tennesee River in Maryville, TN, and worked our way south to Sarasota, Florida, where we left our boat for the winter. In April 2012 we have resumed our journey north. Kate, our 13 yr. old border collie, is our boat dog!

Finally got loose from "Velcro" Beach
We said good-bye to Vero Beach...and the wonderful dog park that Kate and Lacey enjoyed every day! We had totally smooth water and little boat traffic. Not many people heading north! We saw lots of dolphins...and almost every adult-sized one had a baby with it! But it was impossible to get a picture. Kate was on dolphin watch most of the time and managed to see quite of few of them.
We stopped at Kennedy Point Marina, directly west of the Space Center. The huge building is visible for miles and miles.
