Another day in Ottawa!

Three of the four boats in our group decided to stay another day at Heritage Harbor Marina! I knew I had to scrub the boat from top to bottom, or I'd feel miserable. Don and the guys went to a marine store, but he helped me when he got back. The fenders that protect the boat's hull at docks and in locks were getting grungy, and then the dirt and stains were rubbing off on the fiberglass....so I spent about 5 hours scrubbing the flybridge, the decks, the steps, and the hull!!! I feel so much better, AND the boat looks so much better!!!

Everyone from our group of three....Took the Plunge, Our Bubble, and Snow Cat....got together for cocktails on Our Bubble at 5. Finally, I got to relax! Then we toured each other's boats...really had a good time. Carol and Mike on Our Bubble have the most adorable children, Ellie, 5, and Jack, 4. They have adapted so well to being on a boat 24/7, and are truly loving the experience. Carol home schools them on the boat, and they get along so well together. Jack drove his Gator down the long dock to go to the pool and the barbecue. Here he is coming back. He did an excellent job parking it! What a wonderful year with so many new experiences they will have "looping!"

I am so glad I had these two pictures to post today....because you wouldn't have wanted to see sweaty me cleaning the boat!

  1. You are amazing how hard you work to keep your boat brilliant white! No wonder you are in great shape!
