Last Day in Fish Creek

Today, Thursday, was near 90 degrees...but there was a breeze. We never felt the 25 mph winds that were forecast, but we are quite protected in the harbor.

We did more waxing, took Kate for a long walk, planned our route down Lake Michigan to Chicago, and made reservations along the way. Now, we have to hope the weather and waves cooperate!

Last night was lots of fun. We had tickets to see "Cheeseheads, the Musical". It was a wonderful production, full of jokes about being from Wisconsin, being Packers fans, loving cheese, playing the lottery, and surviving the winters up here...something we could relate to! It was actually based on the winning of over 200 million dollars in the Wisconsin Powerball Lottery in 2006 by the second shift of the Sargento Cheese Factory. The very talented cast from the American Folklore Theater had us belly-laughing at times...and certainly provided a memorable evening of entertainment.

We decided to eat dinner near the theatre at Gibraltar Grill when we learned they would pick us up by golf cart.

We enjoyed our locally-brewed beer....I had the Fat Squirrel and Don had the Spotted Cow. Note the Packers pre-season game against KC in the background. Makes us miss the Buffalo Bills...

After the show, it was such a lovely evening that we walked back to the marina. At least it was downhill coming back!
