On to Myrtle Beach

Most of our trip today was so beautiful as we traveled up the Waccamaw River, looking for alligators since it is fresh water. But none was to be seen....Now we are in Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing where there are many places to shop and eat. Don and I both found New Balance sneakers. I was so excited to find my size! Plus both pairs were on sale! I made chili in the crock-pot as we traveled today...so we will save our eating out for another time.

Don carries Lacey off and on the boat using the back steps since the floating docks are quite low. We talked to our vet today, and he said we may want to take her to a vet. Perhaps they will give her a steroid/cortisone shot that might help her use her back legs better.

Today's trip was very scenic, up the Waccamaw River. We could see the rice fields with small canals up them from days gone by.

Cypress trees were everywhere...until we came to civilization and golf courses!

  1. Nice quiet river waters, looks very pleasant sailing. Sad about Lacey & wonder what has happened to her poor thing. Hope she can improve quickly, I know how concerned you will be.

    1. We know she has a tumour in her anal glands...and it might be pressing on a nerve. Will check with a vet soon.
