Haul-out tomorrow!

We have been busy waxing the boat and removing everything that will be going back home with us. Tomorrow, Thurs., Don will drive the boat to Snead Island Boat Works in Palmetto, about 2.5 hours from here, so it can be hauled-out. I'll drive Jeff's truck there to pick him up. Snow Cat will remain "on the hard" until we come back in April to start going across Florida and then up the East coast to Canada! It will be different being home for the winter, and we are actually looking forward to it!  Once every five years isn't bad!  It's quite warm....mid-80's....for us to be doing all the outside work on the boat. I'm sure next January we'd be thrilled to be so hot and sweaty!

I will continue to keep the blog every couple days to share our baby-sitting experiences with you. Jeff and Ellen leave on Sunday for San Franciso and will return the next Saturday! I should be able to post pictures of the kids, Abby who is 7 and Will and Caroline, twins who will be 4 in Nov.
Here's a picture of our girls...in their doggie area on the boat. We are at the table eating, and they cannot leave the carpeted area. Well....lightning storms are an exception! Jeff's yard is fenced, so they are thrilled not to be on leashes all the time. They have no idea that tonight is their last night on Snow Cat for a while!
