We are finally ready to leave Tellico Harbor Marina in Maryville, TN. The couple on the boat next to us, Linda and Rick,  have become like family...Linda even washed our boat before we came! They will be keeping our truck at their house where it will be safe.
All systems seem "go". Usually there is a pump to be replaced...or something that doesn't work. But everywork works!!! That makes us a bit nervous...something might be ready to wear out after we leave!
Someone left rat poison on the dock...and Lacey ate some this morning. But we poured lots of salt down her throat...and 10 minutes later the rat poison came out! She seems ok....
We are hoping to reach Kingston, TN, and anchor off the town tonight. That means just one lock to go through...Fort Loudin. We are over 800 ft. above sea level, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mts., so need locks to get us back to sea level by the time we reach Mobile, AL.
We are on the Little Tennessee River right now...still a part of the TVA. When the dam was built in the 1960's, farm land was flooded...and some of the silos are still sticking out of the water!
Must go... the capt. is calling!

  1. Hi...We just got the e-mails and now have the blog in the "favourites" section. Hope Lacey is okay. We have some baseball try-outs tonight so I'll have to show the girls how to use the blog later.
